field game knows practice run saw step trust unselfish wants
He wants to play. I trust him because I know how unselfish he is. If he didn't think he could step in and run our game plan, he would tell me. As you saw on the practice field today, he's very sharp. He knows what he's doing.
early games lost pay start stuff takes win winning
It's so early in the season. They're going to win some games like they lost tonight, and once they start winning those, they'll probably win some more. All the stuff they've done will pay off for them; sometimes it just takes a little time.
bothering game harder natural
It was bothering him a little bit. And on that turf in there it's harder than being on the natural grass. It was precautionary and it wasn't game day.
game great knew together
They put together a great game plan, and they executed. They knew what they had to do, and they tore us apart.
alone city friday game hard kansas kids last miami nfl night team tonight win won
The big thing, ... is what these kids are all made out of. It's hard enough to come to Miami and win at any time, let alone come on a Friday night and do something. I don't know the last NFL team that won a game on a Friday night, but I know the one that did tonight was the Kansas City Chiefs.
coach coaches game good guy himself involved joe miss parts people problems surrounded time
The kind of guy Joe is and the coach he was at the time he left, I think he got like all of us do: You miss it. You miss the competitive parts of the game and the people involved in the game. I told him he wouldn't have any problems if he surrounded himself with good coaches and good people.
flying football game good quite tapes win
Normally, when you win a football game and you really feel good about it flying home, you look at tapes and it's not quite as good as you thought it was,
ability ball extremely game good hold kurt offensive onto pass slow supporting talking
He has the ability to slow the game down, and he executes extremely well, ... He has to have a supporting cast, and I'm talking about the offensive line. Quarterbacks like Kurt Warner need good pass protection. He's not going to panic. He's going to hold onto the ball and go through the progressions.
anyone close games good maybe personally played playoffs predicted schedule screwed team teams tough win
I personally predicted we'd win 12 games this season, and we didn't. Maybe we screwed up. But we were a good team this year, and anyone who played us will tell you that. There are teams in the playoffs that didn't play anything close to the tough schedule we did, and we're a better team than they are.
leave
Listen, I can leave in any way I want to leave,
convenient knows lives offense smart
He knows the offense and he lives in town. He's convenient and a smart guy.
anticipate ball brought great hope miles respect
That's 4.3 miles with the ball under your arm. We brought him here with great hope and respect but no way could you anticipate him doing what he's done.
cannot five football guy guys knows six throw
He didn't throw a punch. He's the most intelligent guy on this football team, ... He knows what he can and cannot do. He did not throw a punch. Five or six other guys did, though.
bonus hunt love opportunity people work
And I appreciated it very much. To have the opportunity to work for Lamar and Norma Hunt and work with Carl and these people I love very much has been a real, real bonus for me.
