cliche hates market
It's two things. The old cliche is that the market hates uncertainty. So this removes the uncertainty.
collapsed market sideways
The market hasn't collapsed or anything, but we've been going sideways for awhile.
anticipate market movement recovery shows trying
Friday's Dow movement shows that the market is in an uptrend. That's encouraging. The market is trying to anticipate a recovery before the economy.
bullish excuse fed happiness happy lines markets maybe might people statement stay
I'm happy that things are going up in the markets but when things get too bullish and too, I don't know if they're exuberant, but too optimistic, someone will find something between the lines on the Fed statement saying, 'but they said this, they cautioned here', maybe to have to be vigilant, so people might use that as an excuse to stay profits.
calm future language leave market
I think if they take out the language about inflation, as well as leave in the 'measured' (at future meetings), that will calm the market a bit.
consumer effect huge issue market oil sentiment
The oil issue is continuing. It has a huge effect on market sentiment and on consumer spending.
determine events fed hurdles jobs market meeting month next november reaction report tone tuesday week whether
The big hurdles next week are the Fed meeting Tuesday and the jobs report Friday. The market reaction to those events may set the tone for the month and determine whether we'll see a November rally.
bet fed hate kerry market maybe robert secretary
I hate to say it, but maybe there's a bet that if Kerry wins, (former Secretary of the Treasury) Robert Rubin will take over as Fed chairman, and the market would like that.

individual market stocks
Individual stocks can go up, but the market is too overbought internally and there is too much complacency for a rally.
adjusting corporate economic fact high market move pace profits recovery slower
The market is adjusting to the fact that corporate profits may not be as high as was previously thought and that the economic recovery may move at a slower pace than it did in the first quarter.
center companies earnings good greenspan help hope looking market people reporting speaks tomorrow
Hewlett-Packard had good earnings so that should help the techs tomorrow. The other companies reporting tomorrow aren't usually market movers. Greenspan also speaks to Congress, which people will be looking at, but I don't think he'll say anything too surprising. So the hope is that HP earnings will take center stage.
ahead based huge itself major market rally setting worst
This is the worst thing you want to see before major events. A huge rally that was really not based on anything substantial, ahead of two major events, is the market setting itself up for disappointment.
bond holding market oil prices staying tough yields
Oil prices are staying up there, bond yields are rising, there are these tough headwinds out there, but the market is holding up.
