We've gone on the road and won at two very difficult places. We've got another hostile environment this week, but we know that we can win wherever we play if we execute and do the things we need to do.
He was a big part of that defense that year. I think he led the team in tackles. And for just a freshman playing free safety, that's pretty impressive. He came up with some big plays.
He is very powerful, ... You can't really tackle him with one guy. You see him break tackles all the time, like he did on the last touchdown. Obviously his ability to catch the football is special.
I feel like I'm getting the reps I need to prepare myself for the season. Each week I'm feeling more comfortable and getting better.
We felt our defense had done its part, and it was time for us to do ours and put the game away.
We feel like we have to win because of the situation we're in. I still feel like we're in a position where we control our own destiny. If we win each of these next three games, we're in.
We feel like offensively we can be one of the best in this league, if not the best. I think it's just a play here or there.
You enter the game and see what kind of game plan they have for you defensively. If they bring a bunch of guys down in the box that you figure are going to pressure a lot, there are big holes in the defense to take advantage. I felt like we were able to do that today.
We were focused on the game, through, and didn't think we'd mess with it,
Everybody was yelling 'we love you Flutie,' and 'you should be the starter.' They're yelling everything, ... They love the guy there. They were yelling stuff at him about when he was the starter back in the '80s, saying 'they never should have let you go.'
At the start of the season, our goal was to win a championship. We were expecting to be in the playoffs, so that wasn't even a goal.
Tom (Condon) and I have been moving full steam ahead trying to evaluate what other options there could potentially be. I'm just waiting to see what free agency has in store for me.
What can you say about L.T. that hasn't already been said other than he's obviously a special player and somebody we rely on quite a bit in everything we do, in the running game, the passing game and just as an offense,
took a moment to kind of just stare at the sky and think about the past seven months.
