And at the time, it is funny how you can look at something and say, for example with my shoulder injury, when it first happened I said this is the worst thing that could happen to me. Why me, why now? Now I look back and say it was probably the best thing that happened to me
I can't get through the gate. The gate is narrow.
There are a lot of reasons to be motivated.
We had our chances in the second half to make it a one-possession game and we didn't do it.
We made big plays when we needed to make big plays, maybe not the way we drew it up but as long as you make them, that's all that matters.
We did the 1972 Dolphins a big favor. But why? Two weeks ago, the 2005 Dolphins handed us a home defeat, which might end up costing us a spot in the playoffs. It would have been sweet revenge on the Dolphins had we lost to the Colts. With all this talk of whether or not the Colts should have rested their starters, wouldn't it have been funny if we had rested ours? That would have been hilarious.
To have a better road record with all the places we played is ridiculous.
We believed we were going to go there and win, keep our playoff hopes alive. Of course, everybody's talking about the streak being broken and everything else. But really, for us, that was just another team in our path and another game we had to win in order to go on and achieve the goals we set at the beginning of the year.
When we had gone 0-2 and a lot of people doubted our confidence, and to come out and have win like this where everybody performed so well is just what we needed.
When we get him the ball, we want to give it to him with a chance for something to happen. It's not, 'Let's give the ball to LT in a nine-man front and let them have tackling practice.' That's not the point. When we encounter every game situation, we're looking at how we can put LT in a situation to succeed, whether it's throwing it to him or handing it off.
We found something that was working, ... and we stuck with it.
Usually before practice, it's Doug and I going, 'Who gets the first-team reps today?'
with the mentality of going out and scoring 40 points.
We've already got things lined up, and we'll be rocking and rolling the minute the clock strikes midnight.
