I expect us to be in the playoffs next year. We've got a great group of young guys and hopefully it will stay together. I think we can build off the finish we had to this season and do some great things next year.
I had it marked on my calendar, but I think I was a little anxious tonight. I didn't play as well as I had hoped tonight. Kevin just had a great game.
He's back and I'm glad to see him on the court with us.
Those were back-breakers. We had fought back, and to have Gary hit those were real neck-breakers.
Those two guys really stepped up tonight. Harrison is really tough to keep out of the low post. He's a strong guy. Granger really hit some big shots at key times, and he really seemed confident in his shots.
This team is trying to go in a dramatically different direction. We're starting over young.
We felt we really beat them down tonight.
Riding that bike and the little sideline running isn't basketball. My timing is still off, but it's basketball. It's what I do.
Maybe we're not mentally ready for a playoff series right now. But physically, I think we can compete with any team.
The season isn't over. Maybe a trade, maybe the All-Star break, something will jump-start us. Hopefully, the switch will come on.
They stuck with us the whole game. To me it felt like a little playoff game. It kept going back and forth.
They (Magic coaches) want me to be a post player but I don't want to bang with somebody every game, fight and fight.
Coach is going to have our backs, good or bad, and I think guys appreciate that. It feels good that your coach is sticking up for you, letting them know how you feel. But at the same time, we need to just play the game instead of complaining and whining about the calls.
That's what we need every night out of me and him. He's been more consistent so far of late, as far as blocking shots.
