I can't wait. Everybody on this team is a hard worker, and I'm sure they're going to work to get better as individuals.
It's not impossible to win them all. You try to win every game. We've got six at home, where we've been playing well. If we keep playing hard and playing together like we have been, anything is possible.
It's kind of a bad thing to lose Grant. But it's only preseason.
It was definitely an empty feeling coming into the game knowing we had no chance for the playoffs. My heart really sank.
It was emotional out there with him going at me and I was going right back at him. We did have a little mouth battle going on out there. That little stare, I don't know what that was. I just reacted and it was fun.
I want to be here my entire career.
That's been the story all year. In the fourth quarter, you get him the ball and he makes things happen.
That sent us off on a good note. Even the coaches are smiling lately. It's good to see old, grumpy men smiling.
At first I couldn't grasp why he was always so hard on me. But I realize now he just wants me to be a great player. He knows that in my background no one ever really got on me. But he's not afraid to give me some tough love to make me better.
They can still go to me in the fourth quarter. It's just something I've got to keep working on. That's one of the areas I've got to gain more confidence in. Guys from other teams have told me they see that I'm too tense when I'm shooting free throws, when I'm concentrating so much instead of just letting it flow.
I was just trying to make a play for my team. The last thing Randy (Magic assistant coach Randy Ayers) told me was to make a play. I just wanted to get down and play good defense.
It's not good to lose a big lead. We've got to bury teams when we get 'em down. This is like the second or third time where a team has come back and we had to make an extra push to win the game. When we get teams down, we've got to keep 'em down and not let 'em come back.
It's hard for me to block basketball out, but I'll try to stay away from it for a good month and a half. I expect us to be a little more serious, a little more business-minded next year. No team is going to give us anything.
It's sort of like I got it, but I've got to make sure I get a confirmation on it.
