great knows move
He's really a great player. What did he have ... 20 sacks for a season? He's not as big as some guys, but he can move and he knows what he's doing.
accept job
I didn't think I was going to accept the job when I went there to visit. I had no idea I was going to like it.
looked
I didn't think it looked like a fluke,
far good guy leader mark sideline
He's very much in control. He's the calmest guy on our sideline as far as I can tell, and that's the mark of a good quarterback and a good leader for your offense. He's always got it under control.
virginia week virginia-tech
There are so many things going on this week, ... It's great for Virginia Tech.
balls line offensive plays sure
I'm sure there are some plays he'd like to have back, ... But I'm sure there are also some protections our offensive line would like to have back. And some balls our receivers would like to have back.
I'm very disappointed that this didn't have a better ending.
actions caught guy realized west wrong
He realized he was wrong in some of his actions at West Virginia, ... He's just a competitive guy and got caught up. He was wrong and has apologized.
field forget good offense playing short sudden
I don't want to forget this offense right here. We have to be good on offense. If we don't do well, then all of a sudden it's a short field and playing right into their hands.
ability great quick
He's not just a big back. He's a big back who has that breakaway ability. He's really quick and a great athlete.
cuts full helped last lost sure year
He's making cuts full speed. He's quick, powerful. Lost some weight. A better back for sure than he was last year at this time. I think he's really helped himself.
league toward
How those quarterbacks play will go a long way toward determining how the league goes.
few game hours improved played tough ways
He's improved . . . but I think he has a ways to go. He's played with some injuries. He's a tough, tough kid. We have a few hours before game time. We'll see.
assistant biggest bryan bud foster great jim mean mind paid saying strongly
I don't mind saying it. Probably the biggest holdup right now is my assistant coaches. I feel strongly I've got a great staff. If you look at Bryan Stinespring and Bud Foster and Jim Cavanaugh, and I could go on down the line. If you see what they mean to this program, then they need to be paid well.
