control football heck night talk thursday title
I think it's got the makings of a heck of a Thursday night football game. I think they're better. They talk about they're back in the title hunt, and they are. They control their own destiny.
came carrying gave glad great halftime louisville lucky personal played playing plays poise proud second sloppy tech virginia win
Personal fouls, sloppy plays and penalties, that's not us. I'm glad we came back and played like us in the second half. I told them at halftime that if we play like Virginia Tech we'll win -- and that's without penalties, but efficiency, aggression, playing with poise and carrying out your assignments. Louisville did a great job. We were lucky to win. We played more like Virginia Tech in the second half and I was proud of that. We gave great effort.
heard last shaky stories time
From the stories that I've heard about the last time we were there, I thought things got a little shaky up in the stands,
game great job knew needed quickly taking
They knew what needed to be done. I think they did a great job of going back out there and quickly taking the game back over.
ahead defense fast maturity moving offense offensive
Defense is ahead of the offense from a maturity standpoint. You really see that out there. There's just a lot going on for some of these guys. It's moving too fast for some of our offensive guys.
far good guy leader mark sideline
He's very much in control. He's the calmest guy on our sideline as far as I can tell, and that's the mark of a good quarterback and a good leader for your offense. He's always got it under control.
bit talk
I think that's something, as we go through the week, we talk about a little bit and think about,
hard proven time winning
I think you'd have a hard time winning a championship without a defense. Over the years, it's a proven fact.
forget looking polls regardless start sudden
Sometimes you start looking at the polls too much, and all of a sudden you forget to play. To get to the championship game, you're probably going to need to be undefeated, and if you're undefeated, I think you're going to end up there regardless of where you started out.
football issue
Football is a lot like life, and you're going to have disappointments. The issue is how you come back from them.
bus checked consider equipment fast guys riding takes time trip
Riding the bus on a trip like this is just as fast when you consider all the time it takes to get guys and equipment checked through the airports these days.
ability both bunch guys indication spring
It's all a bunch of young guys there and it's another indication that this is a tremendously important spring practice. Wheeler and Wang both have got ability and toughness, but they just don't have the experience.
college fans hear liked lots parking seems stories took until worrying
I've always kind of liked it up there. I have up until you hear the stories that took place two years ago in the bathrooms and parking lots and all that stuff. I know it seems like a lot of our fans are worrying about going back up there, and that's not right. That's not college football.
ability beat dynamic good running
I think what you have is a dynamic quarterback that has the ability to beat you running or beat you throwing. Pretty good guy. Pretty good quarterback.
