The Fusion, I think, is going to be a lot better car for us. (But) we're still just in the preliminary aspects of figuring it out and we had pretty much optimized the Taurus.
It was the kind of day we were hoping for up until (Dale Earnhardt) Junior spun (Travis Kvapil),
It was pretty incredible to race a guy like that for the win, it was pretty neat,
It was time to reestablish my dominance, ... in NASCAR, as well as in Roush Racing. The way things are going, I might be the only guy left in Roush come next season. I'm the main man in Roush. Ask anybody, except Kurt Busch, Mark Martin, Carl Edwards, and Matt Kenseth.
Roush is putting everything into a third championship and the National Guard team is more focused that I've ever seen them. It's an exciting position to be in right now.
It wasn't the car I was thinking I was going to have. But the guys did a great job in the pits, and I kept it off the wall and didn't get any flat tires. We just did everything we needed to do, really. ... We wanted a top-five (finish), so we can't really complain.
His car was similar to mine when he won Atlanta versus me finishing third, and it was just who was in front. It was merely track position at the end of the race, so he's got the ability to drive the race cars.
It was unfortunate. (The car) got from under us in the second lap. It would have been a good solid lap for the race, but now we're going to suffer really bad. It's going to be a fight that's all there is to it.
They're going to have to have another off day like they did at Dover and we're going to have to not get a flat tire in order to close in on them,
It's gonna be like this for the next few years, I think,
Everybody this year is like, 'Man, what's changed between last year and this year?' ... Nothing.
It's going to be easy to make up the first six spots. The next six are going to be tougher.
Everybody is going to have the same thing. To me, that's going to be disastrous. I've heard all secondhand information. I haven't sat down and said, 'What exactly are we going to be able to do?' but I heard that we're not going to be able to do this, we're not going to be able to do that.
The odds are that one of us may have some trouble along the way.
