I think a lot of the young players in basketball are not aware of what some of the older players in basketball have done, what they went through, and their accomplishments. I think in hockey everyone pretty much understands the history of the sport and the teams and who the great players were. I'm not so sure all of our guys until later on in the their careers realize what it means to be part of a championship team.

You don't get to the position I've been able to get to without a lot of help from other people. I've been blessed with the players I've had the privilege to coach and the coaches who taught me, I know when something happens for me those people are happier than me.

I know he's not afraid to take it. I was a little nervous that he walked it up. I wanted him to kind of rush it up but it was a great win, especially when you consider the players we had out there.

They respect Mr. Dolan and know he cares and wants to do everything he can to help us win. But it's up to us to coach better and the players to play better. Everybody knows how supportive he is, and I think that's a good thing.

I think he said it because it was his way of showing his confidence in his ability. That's the way I took it. I wouldn't want players not to have confidence, but I think sometimes, because it's written in this day and age, that it's going to follow you.

I hope we get players in here who want to defend and we keep the ones who have that as a priority. I think that's the only way you can win. Generally, if a guy's willing to defend, he's going to be unselfish, he's always going to play hard, and he's probably going to have unbelievable character.

It's imperative that your better players bring it every night. I don't think there's any way to be successful in this league with just young kids. You need veteran leadership. Sometimes it comes from guys who don't play, but for the most part it has to come from the guys that are the key players.

Teams have won with young players playing key roles. A lot of teams draft based on potential, but we have guys here who have played in college for a while. They will respect the minutes they get, not expect them, and they will be given every opportunity to play.
