four guaranteed holes love main top wherever
I love the top of the order. You're pretty much guaranteed four at-bats. The more times you can come up, the better. At the same time, just being out there every day is the main thing. We have a lot of interchangeable parts. There's no holes in the lineup. Wherever they put me is fine.
coming definitely huge injury league major motivated nice serious somebody
I don't think they had huge expectations for me coming into the season, ... That's all right because I had a serious injury and this is a major league team. They have to put somebody out there who's going to perform. I was pretty motivated anyway. I was definitely motivated to come out and have a nice year.
best game impact players
He's one of the best all-around players I've ever seen. He can impact the game in a lot of ways.
either figure genius guy matter stay swinging team time worst
If I could figure this team out, I would be a genius. We're all either swinging it well at the same time or we're all not. Hopefully, we'll stay like this for a while. It doesn't matter who is pitching. You could have Cy Young out there or the worst guy in the league, it doesn't matter.
bat either figure genius swinging
If I could figure out this team, I'd be a genius. We're all either swinging the bat well at the same time, or not.
bite great record swing tough understand
I can't understand why Westbrook's record isn't better. He has great stuff. His sinker is tough to get a swing on, and he had more bite on his curveball today.
bunch clubhouse comparable good great guys playing reason row stretch turn won
It's pretty amazing. This stretch is comparable to when we won 20 in a row (in 2002). It's just a great bunch of guys in this clubhouse who really like playing together. There's such good chemistry, and that's probably part of the reason we've been able to turn it around.
bats figure genius swinging team
I try to figure this team out, and if I could, I'd be a genius. We're all swinging the bats well at the same time, or we're all not swinging the bats well at the same time.
guys lead means second
It's very nice, ... Joe's been unbelievable the whole second half. Getting these guys a lead means a lot.
credit deep depth management problems ready says since time win
That's always been one of the problems with our team. We haven't had a lot of depth. This is the first time since I've been here that we've actually had depth on our team. It's a credit to our management and it also says that we're ready to win. We want to win now and we want to go deep in the playoffs.
carrying concept encourage illegal instead issue local seem state water
The concept of it not being a local or state issue is not carrying water anymore. Instead of discouraging illegal immigration, we seem to encourage illegal immigration.
appreciate confidence deal last prove shows year
Last year I had to prove a lot, and I feel like I was able to do that. Having this deal shows the organization has a lot of confidence in me. I appreciate that.
against guy seen time tough
If you don't make adjustments against Kenny, he'll keep doing the same thing to you. We've seen him enough that we should be able to make those adjustments, but sometimes it's tough the first time you see a guy each year.
against beat guy rookie
For a rookie to come into Fenway Park, against that lineup, and beat a guy like Curt Schilling, that's pretty impressive.
