After my last outing, I was up in the zone, and it was something that Chaves and I just started working on, my drive to the plate. So I know exactly what we'll be working on here.

It was big because it was a free seven points that they got. You feel they didn't deserve it and then we had to answer back, because they were right back in the game at that point.

I didn't know if he had it in him, quite frankly. I didn't know if he was going to quit or if we were going to have to kick him off the team. Sometimes there was a lack of effort, and his attitude wasn't the best, but he's come a long way since then and I'm proud of him.

Sometimes when you lose your mobile phone, even though it's frustrating, it's sort of rewarding in many ways because, though we do rely on them a lot, we are not reliant on them. The world continues without.

Doug always used to hang around with me in those days because he didn't start school until the end of September. He hung out, lined the field, helped coach. He learned how to do it the hard way, but it was also the right way. He definitely knows what he is getting into.
biggest coached fun games hope nervous time
It will be one of the biggest games we've had around here in a long time and one of the biggest I've ever coached in. I just hope we don't get nervous and just have fun with it.
