factor pitch trying
It swelled up on him and that was probably a little factor in the game. He was trying to pitch through it.
against anyway felt fine given might morris mosquito tonight
It's very small. It's like a mosquito bite, is the way it was described. Mo said he felt great, no pain, no fatigue, no nothing. He's fine to play, but I might have given him tonight off anyway against (Matt) Morris .
aggressive ahead behind games gets hitters maybe playoffs regular seven six
I want him to be in the 15-win range, maybe six or seven games over .500. My only criticism, if I have one, is that he gets behind hitters during the regular season. He doesn't do that in the playoffs because he is aggressive and gets ahead of the hitters.
aware great
Snell pitched a great game. We're aware of what he can do.
barrier became bravado bright certainly couple crossed dollars forgotten guy hold line maybe million nolan pay people somebody somehow treated wanting
The interesting thing about him is that Dr. Mac, for all of the bravado about wanting to hold the line on dollars, became the first guy to pay a million dollars to somebody (Ryan). ... Fast-forward a couple of years, and people have somehow forgotten that this guy crossed a barrier that hadn't been crossed and treated Nolan great. I don't know all that went on between Nolan and Mac. OK, maybe it's probably not the bright spot, but it certainly shouldn't be how he's remembered.
improved last pitching
Their pitching is much improved over last year,
confidence looks pitching saw throwing
Their pitching is much improved. I think the pitching is why they are where they are. Turnbow's been unbelievable. He's got confidence going now. When I first saw him, I thought he was just throwing. Right now, he looks to me he's throwing with confidence.
anywhere
As much as possible, anywhere possible. Well, probably not catcher.
milwaukee tested
It tested us a little bit, no question. Milwaukee tested us a little bit, too. But they all feel good.
knows tells
It tells me, ... that he knows how to pitch.
scouting
They did it all the way up and down the lineup. That's what was different from the scouting reports.
champions deserved
They deserved to be called world champions this year.
came hits needed
They came up with the big hits when they needed them. They did the same thing (Monday).
call hope knows nobody pays quietly
You could call it that. I hope nobody knows about him for a while. If nobody pays attention, you can quietly go about doing your job.
