ball singles win
We got two two-out singles from Berkman to win the ball game.
basically couple ready
We're basically ready to go. We just have to make a couple decisions.
days
We didn't take them for granted, we just didn't show up offensively today. Some days we're going to get them and some day we're not.
felt good less might obviously pressure runner struggled third took
We've struggled so much in getting the runner in from third with less than two outs, so it obviously felt good doing that. I think it took the pressure off everybody. Might have led to the three-run homer, too.
counting
We're not counting him out, but this is a day-to-day situation,
explain run start wants
That's pretty good. He can start another five-year run if he wants to. That's pretty incredible. I don't know how to explain that.
wants
If he wants to do that, I think he could.
certainly chris confident determined good last playing results saw wants
I think Chris is a very confident player. I wouldn't say he's more confident (than last year), but he's more determined than ever that he wants more playing time. We certainly saw good results today.
everybody gorilla innings nobody room scoring sitting starts talk trying wants
It's like that 600-pound gorilla sitting in the room that nobody wants to talk about. If you keep going too many innings without scoring runs, everybody starts trying to do too much in one bat. And that's when you get in trouble.
ball blown both brad couple gets given lead location though throwing wants
Both will get on track. Even though Brad has given up the lead and blown a couple of saves, I think he's throwing the ball pretty well. When he gets his location where he wants it to be, he's going to be fine.
change gorilla question talk wants worried
No question it's like the 600-pound gorilla in the room. No one wants to talk about it. ... I'll be worried if it's still this way after two months. I'll be worried after one month, but we're not going to change anything. We've got established players. We'll be all right.
pick scientific
Pick 'em out of a hat. We just need somebody. Nothing scientific in the formula.
stuck top
No, ... He snow-coned it. Stuck to the top of his glove.
balls complete guy pitches throws
The guy throws 95 pitches and pitches a complete ballgame, so we didn't put too many balls in play.
