chased chasing earned few won
They've earned the respect. They won the World Series. We're chasing them. They chased us for a few years.
clubhouse gone guys knowing respect
That's not the way we do things here. We have too much respect for Joe. If we did that, the guys in that clubhouse ... let's just say they would be very upset, knowing what Joe's gone through to get back here.
anytime fire guys inside kyle learned liked people took
I took it personal, and it wasn't really personal. So I learned from it. And I think Kyle did, too. I always have liked Kyle. ... Anytime you get guys with a fire inside of them, that want to win, that want to be out there on the mound, people are going to butt heads.
diets-and-dieting feeling fun married talked
He said he was doing better. He talked about being on a diet, working out, getting to feeling better, and talked of getting married in June. It was fun to see him again.
offensive pitcher problems punish
Don't punish the pitcher for our offensive problems that we've had this year.
send
Most of the time, you'd send (Radke) back out there, but this isn't 'most of the time' anymore.
named staff
That was kind of ugly. That's a little disappointing. Like I told you, that's why we haven't named our staff yet, because you never know what's going to happen.
hitters playing roll swinging trying
He's on a little roll right now. He's playing very well right now. I want to keep him in the lineup when he's swinging good. He's been one of our better hitters on this trip. I'm trying to keep him going.
fastball mph poise talking
Poise? I don't think we're talking about poise here. I think we're talking about a 97 mph fastball with a curveball from hell.
indicate record
(Blanton's) record doesn't indicate that he's Cy Young, but we made him look like that.
drifted
It drifted down, and he just went and got it.
longer send sit
Sit him out any longer and you're going to have to send him out on a rehab. We need to get him in the lineup and let him play.
knee outfield run
He's going to run around in the outfield and see if his knee swells up. So we're guarded. I'm just in a wait-and-see to see how he does.
defense die learned offense played separate
He didn't live and die with every play and every at-bat. He kind of learned to take it as it was. Go out and play defense, separate the two and he did very well at that. He played offense and he played defense and he was more confident.
