besides character family fits great man mold nice players third ways
You can use him a lot of different ways besides just at third -- first base, DH. He can do a lot of things and he can hit. He's also a very nice man with great family so he fits the mold for us. We're not just after players but players with character and he fits that.
electricity
You could feel the electricity in the building.
wants
He wants to play. But I'm just going to give him a day break.
open seen
I've never seen that open of a stance.
mistakes seems
He seems to be on just about everything. We're making some mistakes and he's creaming them.
arm chance control dictate great injury last learn pitcher whether
He's just got to learn to control everything a little better. He did a lot better last year, they told me, but he had the arm injury and it's just got to keep improving. He has a chance to be a great pitcher in this organization, whether it is as a starter or a 'pen guy. We haven't really decided. He will dictate that.
dugout fun game good loved manage manages playing watching
I loved watching Ozzie manage in the other dugout and he manages just like he played. He had fun playing the game and he manages having fun and that's the way we should all try to do it. I think he set a pretty good tone.
bounce confident feels playing
He feels better about himself. He's confident -- the whole package. And he's playing good. We thought he would bounce back and play well.
checked heart
Everything checked out fine. They even said I had a heart.
coming goes move next
By next Tuesday, we should have a roster move with him coming back if everything goes well.
liked
I know it's early, but we've always liked the way he's thrown.
happens hit instead mistakes pitcher pitches start swinging
He's getting better pitches to hit. That's what happens when you start swinging well. The pitcher makes mistakes and you hit it instead of fouling it off.
fall handled himself suddenly
He's handled himself pretty well. I don't think he's going to just suddenly fall apart.
nice night tough ugly win
It was a nice win on a very ugly night and tough conditions.
