defensive guys instead men mode offensive position scoring
When we get men into scoring position or on base, it's like we go into defensive mode instead of offensive mode. I don't know how to get guys out of it.
call
What he should do is call me. Not you.
best given people player stew worry
We know what Stew can do, what kind of player he is. We don't have to worry about that. ... We've got people we've got to get a look at, too. He's given us the best he can.
nice says talked
We've talked about it. He says he'd like to do more. That would be nice to see.
effort looked until
We made an effort there at the end. Up until that, it looked ugly.
ball
We're just going to give him the ball like we always have.
needs starting time
We're starting to get concerned. It's mid-March, and he hasn't been out there yet. We have time, but the time is getting to where he needs to get out there and see some hitters.
apologetic cared growing handle happy process situations understood
He was apologetic and that's all that I cared about. He understood that you have to handle situations a little better, and that's part of the growing up process too. I'm happy with it. I feel better about the whole situation. That's really all that matters.
days four sharp situations
You want to be able to put him in the game. You need to have those days where you can get him four at-bats here and four at-bats there to keep him sharp for late-inning situations and big pinch-hit situations.
bullpen hopefully looks situations
Our bullpen looks like they need to be in those situations a little more, and hopefully we'll get them in there.
choked nice
That one kind of choked me up. I thought that was a pretty nice thing by big Buck.
arguing ball catch great job looked pitcher pitchers start turned wood
Their pitcher was aware. Wood did a great job there. Most pitchers would catch the ball and start arguing with the umpire. He was very aware. He turned around looked home. He did a great job on that play.
boring common tells
It's a boring kind of thing, really. I think common sense pretty much tells you where it is.
wanting
I can't see Rad not wanting to go out there.
