I threw off the veil of illusion, when I met my Lord and Master; then, I forgot my jealousy of others.
lift lord pull support
Please, God, give me the Support of Your Hand; lift me up and pull me out of this pit, O Lord of the World.
cut express tongue
Keep the tongue under control; do not express all you are prompted to say; cut that inclination to the minimum.
drum scared skin sway
With the drum and the skin of the antelope all the gods, that sway the battle, have scared away the enemies.
across art beyond captive haunts shall thee thou whether
Whether thou art beyond the haunts of men, or whether across the river, this very herb, as if a captive bound, shall bring, thee back to me!

Worship is more for effect, a play acted with the pit in view; there is no sincerity.
