balanced bit defense field football offense position quite short takes
You look at them, and they're a balanced football team, and their defense is very very good. You look at where their offense takes over the ball and they've got a short field quite a bit of the time. Field position is critical, and that comes back to their defense.
bad goes happens offense special
When something bad happens in a game, when something kind of goes bad, our offense comes back and answers, ... We are special in that way. We've been able to answer, and what we do from here on out is what's going to count. But we got some things going.
ahead defense fast maturity moving offense offensive
Defense is ahead of the offense from a maturity standpoint. You really see that out there. There's just a lot going on for some of these guys. It's moving too fast for some of our offensive guys.
believe consistency field offense position stuck team
They got us field position and then the offense stuck it in. It's still a team game. I still believe our offense is going to get more consistency as we go along.
against aware came football good offense
Our offense was very much aware that we hadn't scored a touchdown in two years against these guys. I thought they came in and responded to a good football team.
field forget good offense playing short sudden
I don't want to forget this offense right here. We have to be good on offense. If we don't do well, then all of a sudden it's a short field and playing right into their hands.
defense guy handle near offense plan remember school springs watching
I remember watching him at Highland Springs (High School, near Richmond), and when I recruited him I told him my plan was to get him on offense some and get him on defense some, and I think he's the kind of guy that can handle it. I think he's got that kind of ability.
change count finding great hard offensive
I think we're going to have to change how we do that. Great offensive linemen are hard to find and can be hard to sign, but you need them. You can't just count on finding them anymore.
coaches effort few further good last players proof records virginia winning
I think we have good coaches and good players in this state. We've really made an effort to re- cruit well in the state. I think the records would show that we have, particularly in the last few years. You look at our roster and it is further proof that we are winning with a lot of Virginia kids.
compete matter playing proven
I think we've proven over the years we can compete at that level. We know how to be good, it's just a matter of playing with focus.
help whether
I think we've got to help him out some, sometimes with formations and sometimes with backs, ... Whether it's Duane or someone else, you've got to give them some help.
ability beat dynamic good running
I think what you have is a dynamic quarterback that has the ability to beat you running or beat you throwing. Pretty good guy. Pretty good quarterback.
last mean might people program realize team three won
I think sometimes you're a better program than people realize you are. And I think that might be Louisville's case. I mean in the last three years they have won 29 games. They're for real. I think this team can play with anyone.
appreciate changed jimmy tried
Jimmy has changed a lot. He's tried to do things right for this program, and I appreciate him for that.
