step time tough
He's a tough kid. I'm disappointed for Jimmy, but if he can't go, it's time for Brandon Frye to step it up.
few game hours improved played tough ways
He's improved . . . but I think he has a ways to go. He's played with some injuries. He's a tough, tough kid. We have a few hours before game time. We'll see.
accurately against athletic ball both consistent couple decisions good kids last plays sean thrown tough
Sean's been the most consistent both in getting into plays and making decisions and making throws. Sean has thrown the ball more accurately than he did last fall. He's made very good decisions. He is against a couple of quarterbacks who are more athletic than he is. So it's not so much as what he's done wrong, but the other kids have done some things right. That's why this is a tough decision.
attitude football great heck nasty nice tougher
He's been good, ... He's got everything it takes. He's tougher than heck and he's nasty on the football field. He's a nice person off the field, but to be a great player, you've got to have that nasty attitude and he's got it.
allow bend blow braces bunch butler knee mind operated question save seen tough
I've seen those knee braces save a bunch of knees. There's no question in my mind that Reggie Butler would be operated on right now if he hadn't had that knee brace on. It was a tough blow right to the knee, but the brace didn't allow the knee to bend to where something would be completely torn.
playing
They're playing for a lot. We're playing for a lot.
fortunate guys hung
I feel fortunate getting out of here with the win. I really thought our guys hung in there. The play wasn't always pretty.
team
They're a team that just won't go away.
challenge offensive prepare thursday wednesday
It's just different. You try to prepare for it here on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and it's a challenge for your offense. We haven't scored an offensive touchdown in two years. Part of that's them, part of that's us.
balls line offensive plays sure
I'm sure there are some plays he'd like to have back, ... But I'm sure there are also some protections our offensive line would like to have back. And some balls our receivers would like to have back.
feet great mind thrown tying
He's going to be a great player, but right now I think there's a lot being thrown at him and his mind is tying up his feet a little bit,
half last season
It's what you do the last half of the season that really matters.
advantage believe challenge football good last needs second situation state team week
I think the challenge for us this week is are we a better football team than we were last week? As many good things as we did in the N.C. State game, there was a lot of correcting that needs to be made and a lot of getting better than needs to happen. I believe ... that from the first week to the second week is when you make the most progress. And we have to take advantage of that situation here.
confident itself takes
He's confident out there. He takes control. There are a lot of things other than the play itself that you like about him.
