I love restrictor plate racing. It reminds me of going to the go-kart track with your buddy's and just running wide open. But this year has not been much fun. We have had a top-five car at both Daytona and Talladega. We have stayed up front and put ourselves around good cars. It has been very frustrating to be honest. Hopefully we can avoid the wreck this Sunday. I know the (fabrication) shop feels the same way.

I think the car of the future is great from a safety aspect. I think it's the ugliest thing I've ever seen. They have to make it look better.

I thought we had the best car, but anytime you have cautions, it gives an opportunity to the guys behind you to get into the back bumper, ... It would have been nice to not see the cautions. We were just fortunate to have a car that went on restarts and worked on long runs.

Our chances are slim to none. There's always a chance several guys will have problems. But we decided to go for broke, try to win races and not care about anything else.

You can only learn so much from testing, and after a while you need times like this to make sure you're going in the right direction. It's really when you get in the action with cars around you that you know it's time to go racing again. All we can do is hope we're ready. Honestly, I've never felt as prepared for a season as I do this year.

If that wasn't Jeff Burton back there we probably would have had a wreck. His car was a little bit better for the first three or four laps (after a restart) and then we could get going.
