I thought I finally beat a top 20, but definitely it's sweet to beat the number three seed.
Maybe I have this little underdog thing now, not being out there for three years and coming back. You've seen that in the past with some other athletes and it's nice to feel the same way.
Under the circumstances in the heat and not having played for three years, I'd say an eight (out of 10), other times even better. I don't know what else I should have done today better than what I did. The score says it all.
If I play the tennis I played three years ago I would not survive. I know that.
Maybe all these three years, I freshened up a little. I'm just really enjoying every second of being around here.
I know I can last three sets now, especially mentally. That was the biggest weapon I had today. I would have been pretty hard on myself if I had lost this match because I had it totally under control.
If I want to play the tennis I played three years ago, I would not survive. I know that. You have to grow with the game and you have to get better physically and with your tennis. I've been trying to work on my whole game, baseline and serve. You have to have a serve to be able to survive today.
It's been three years, a long time. We'll see how it goes here. It's a challenge and exciting. Every week is different.
It took me three years to recharge my brain and my body and hopefully I can keep playing like this.
The first three games it was a little chilly out, but after that it got a little better.
After three years off you can't expect to step out and win every match.
I think it was like sometimes in life things happen and you try to change them and if you learn from mistakes, it's always a good thing.
I saw her when she was 12 and she was very good even then. You could hear her from like 10 courts further down.
Playing the top players you have to play them over and over. You have to start believing and step by step I'm getting my confidence back.
